We have now begun to return to work with one team on the road installing garage doors and Mark carrying out repairs and quotes.
Please be assured all work is being carried out following guidance from the UK government (which you can find at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/social-distancing-in-the-workplace-during-coronavirus-covid-19-sector-guidance) and guidance from Trade organisations Build UK and the Door and Hardware Federation.
If you are having work carried out at your property we will call you on our arrival to your property and explain how we will work.
We ask you stay inside at all times, if you need to speak to one of our team please call them rather than coming outside.
If you have to come outside please keep 2m distance from all staff members.
The team have been provided with relevant PPE and soap/water for hand washing. They will wear a fresh pair of disposable gloves for each customer and wash their hands regularly. They have been instructed to keep two metres distance and where this is not possible to minimise time closer together.
If you have a window (or door to outside space) in your garage please open for them prior to their arrival to maximise ventilation.
We can no longer accept cheque or cash as payment nor can the fitters process card payments.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or by card via the link emailed to you with your invoice or you can call the office.
EMERGENCY REPAIRS
Key Workers within 20 mile radius of OX16 will not be charged a call out fee. Please make sure you tell us you are a Key Worker and the role you do when you call to book.
Examples of emergencies are:
- Garage door stuck open causing security risk to your home
- Garage door unable to lock causing security risk to your home
- Garage door will not open and you need to access for food / washing facilities / electricity or other essential items
- Garage door will not open and you need to access to retrieve vehcile to allow you to keep working

It was with great sadness that we learnt of Chris Teuton’s passing in October 2019. Mark knew Chris, and his dad John before him, for many years through their shared work in the garage door industry.
At the end of December 2019 the decision was made to close John Teuton Garage Doors and Elite have now taken ownership of their telephone numbers, so we can continue to provide a garage door service to their existing customers.
The Teuton name was synonymous with quality and excellence and we are very proud to have been given the opportunity to continue their work. It is an honour to be looking after their customers.
We are pleased that Tracy, who worked for the Teutons for many years, has joined us at Elite. Working part time in the office Tracy will continue to provide excellent customer care to both Teuton’s and Elite’s customers.

With so many garage door installers/products available it is hard to know what questions to ask and who to trust.

- Do you work with reputable manufacturers? Yes, we have direct accounts with all the major manufacturers, our engineers have manufacturer training and we are recognised as their approved installers for our region
- Are your doors safe? Yes, we only work with manufacturers who have CE compliant safety edge systems.
- What are your warranties? All our doors come with a minimum 5 year warranty and 12 month fitting warranty
- If something goes wrong, what do I do? Give us a call and we will always endeavour to have an engineer with you within 48 hours, same day if your property is not secure.
- Do you employ engineers or sub-contract? All our engineers are employed by us, we do not sub contract any of our work.
- How do your prices compare? We believe we have the best prices in the area but if you do receive a cheaper like-for-like quotation we will beat it.

Our customer was looking for a set of timber doors to be installed on a new build property near Stow on the Wold.
Specification of door:
- Cardale Timber Doors
- Berkeley Vertical Timber Design
- Fully finished in Base Coat Stain for the customer to stain colour of their choice
- Hand crafted garage doors using cedar faced mouldings on the finest quality external grade ply.
- Steel chassis with steel bracing to reinforce the door without adding excessive weight

- Two doors with retractable lifting gear with horizontal tracks attached to the top of the door frame, exceptionally smooth opening and closing action, and installed with Novomatic motors

Our customer had one large double door to their garage and were looking to divide the opening into two, with one ‘pedestrian’ door and then a larger opening, both with the option of being operated using a remote control.

The window frames were finished in British Standard colour BS 10 B 21 ‘Lizard’ and so we colour matched the doors.

This sectional garage door was installed in Mollington, Oxfordshire. Originally a garage comprising of two up and over doors and a central pillar, we removed these and replaced with this stunning double door. Sectional doors can be painted to any RAL number, perfect for matching to window frames or a front door. Our customer chose RAL 9001 (Cream) which is becoming an increasingly popular colour with our customers. RAL specific doors also come with a choice of Woodgrain or Smooth finish, our customer chose Smooth. We think it looks simply stunning!
