Our customer was looking for a steel one piece up and over garage door to be installed on his property in Studley, Warwickshire. He was looking for automated operation and so we installed with a Novomatic 563 motor. As the door is opened by remote control a handle was not required and the customer chose to not have a handle fitted.

Two single garage doors to one double garage door

Conversion from two single doors to one double garage door
We are often asked to convert two single door openings into one large double opening. Depending on whether the centre pillar is load bearing or not this can be either a simple task or you may need to involve a builder. If a one piece steel RSJ runs across the entire opening, then we would probably be able to simply remove the centre pillar and install the new door. If you are unsure we we recommend contacting a builder for advice.

Secured by Design Red Retractable Garage Door

Secured by Design Retractable Up and Over Garage Door installed in Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Our customer’s biggest priority was security when it came to choosing his next garage door. He was drawn to Cardale’s Secured by Design range. Garage doors which are certificated to CS 5051 STS202, approved by ACPO Association Of Chief Police Officers.
These doors have heavy duty strengthening ribs, heavy duty springs, secure locking brackets and inside locking handle. For the exterior, our customer upgraded from a standard handle to an aluminium handle, to complement his new composite front door and fixings.

GRP Retractable Up and Over Garage Door in RAL 7001
GRP Side Hinged Garage Door installed in Didcot, Oxfordshire
Our customer chose The Betchworth design for their up and over garage door. They wanted the door in RAL 7001 to match the finish on their property. This is not a colour in the standard colour range but with the GRP doors there is the option for any RAL number. To finish the door the customer chose square lattice glazing.
